Thermostat Settings

1. Adjust Temperature: Set the thermostat above the current room temperature.
2. System Switch: Ensure the system switch is set to HEAT or AUTO.
3. Fan Switch: Choose ON for continuous airflow or AUTO if you prefer the blower to operate only when the system is running.

System Activation

4. Increase Thermostat Setting: Raise the thermostat to its highest temperature setting to try to start the system.

Air Flow and Registers

5. Check Air Filter: Inspect and, if necessary, replace the air filter if it’s extremely dirty as it can block airflow.
6. Registers: Make sure all air registers are open and free from obstructions.

Electrical Checks

7. Power Disconnect Switch: Verify that the power disconnect switches by both the outdoor and indoor units are turned on.
8. Fuse/Breaker: Check the fuse or breaker at the electrical panel for both the outdoor and indoor units to ensure they are operational.
