Thermostat Settings

1. Adjust Temperature: Set the thermostat to a temperature lower than the current room temperature.
2. System Switch: Ensure the system switch is set to COOL or AUTO.
3. Fan Switch: Select ON for continuous airflow or AUTO if you want the blower to operate only when the system is running.

System Activation

4. Lower Thermostat Setting: Reduce the thermostat to its lowest temperature setting to attempt to start the system.

Air Flow and Registers

5. Inspect Air Filter: Check the air filter for dirt and replace it if it is extremely dirty to avoid blocked airflow.
6. Ensure Open Registers: Confirm that all air registers are open and unobstructed.

Electrical Checks

7. Power Disconnect Switch: Make sure the power disconnect switches by both the outdoor and indoor units are turned on.
8. Fuse/Breaker: Check the fuse or breaker at the electrical panel for both the outdoor and indoor units to ensure they are functional.
